
CEAB Delegation trip to Glasgow
Dear Member companies:
As agreed with the development office of the Scottish government, the CEAB is organising a visit to Glasgow,Scotland on the 18th of June 2015. The itinerary is as follows: Arrival on June 18th in the afternoon of evening, with an invitation to attend a welcome reception in the evening.
June 19th :All day events
June 20th :Visit to the West of Scotland
June 21st : Return to London in the afternoon or evening
The main objectives for the trip include: 1, To get an understanding of Scotland especially Glasgow's economy, trade and investment situation and potential; 2, Meet officials from the local government and economic and trade officials, business community leaders and main industry representatives, in order to seek business and investment opportunities.
The main highlights of the trip include: 1. Official visits , 2. Introductory talks, 3. Business networking;. 4. Other visits/studies etc.
The specific business activities are still being finalised with the Scottish counterparts. Members attending will be informed as soon as the arrangements have been finalised. The accommodation arrangements will be handled by a travel agency and will soon be sent to stakeholders. The details and a quote of the costs are as follows: The budgeted costs are per person per day (accommodation £125, meals £45, miscellaneous £35). Costs such as bus hiring etc. will be shared between the members.
Due to the nature and purpose of the visit, the association hopes senior management from association company members will attend. If senior management cannot attend, other managers can be organised to attend.
Scotland plays an important part in the Scottish economy and is one of the birthplaces of the industrial revolution, and sectors such as science and techonology, finance, services, information, biotechnology, manufacturing (in particular energy), animal husbandry, fishery, food, textiles and other industries play an important role in the economy. Please register your attendance before May 28th (1-2 persons) per member company). Please do not arrange other activities during business activities.
